Beneath the bright aurora’s light
\nA wise man with his cart here stands,
\nSt. Eligius’ student greets the night
\nwith kindly eyes and worthy hands.<\/p>\n

Within his cheery wooden cart
\nare cheeses soft, or wrapped in rind,
\nand wines so sweet, and wines so tart,
\nand sausages his hands did grind.<\/p>\n

In Boxes fine of carv-ed wood
\nPierced-work and repouss\u00e9 do shine.
\nBy Champlev\u00e9* so bright and good
\nAre roundels of ancient design.<\/p>\n

His curve-ed spoons shine like the sun;
\nHis tents give shelter from its rays;
\nHis baskets from the trees are spun;
\nHis Songbird\u2019s song echoes for days.<\/p>\n

Love Conquers All, the words do read,
\nHis Truth is carved upon wood arms.
\nOther good things that one might need,
\nAnd time, he gives free as small charms.<\/p>\n

This man, Lord Tristan de Worrell
\nBy works of beauty fine and rare
\nIs now bedeck\u2019d with sweet laurel
\nAnd garners thus his treatment fair.<\/p>\n

Take this man now into your fold
\nAnd give him leaves of shining green
\nThat all may freely now behold
\nThis Laurel of such gentle mien.<\/p>\n

Arms are granted, fully able
\nto display in etch-ed copper
\nOr, two boars combattant sable
\nbase a wooden barrel proper.<\/p>\n

Now Forty-six, the year we mark
\nForty years of the Pennsic War
\nHere ten days into Augusts\u2019 arc
\nTristan takes all Eastern rapport.<\/p>\n

Thus in the Mighty Eastern Court
\nBy King Lucan this writ is signed,
\nIn full with Jana Queen\u2019s support
\nThat Tristan now is Laurel-kind.<\/p>\n
