Unable to join you and my beloved Eastern Army, to see the fighting and noble horses bearing the hopes of the East in their hands and reigns.\u00a0 I send the gracious Lady Aoife, noble bard, to deliver in my stead this missive, writ by my own hand for this preparation for war, unto you, and, if you will it, unto the army I love so well. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>My King, you and the East are ever in my thoughts.\u00a0 I remain you servant, <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211; Lady Aneleda<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Eastern Army, thunder-bearers<br \/>\npride of bards and of all men.<br \/>\nSee the love the people have,<br \/>\never-bright, as stars and sun.<\/p>\n<p>Pride of King and nation firm,<br \/>\ndeepest love of land and home,<br \/>\nof war-song and battle-tale<br \/>\nto be echoed over time.<\/p>\n<p>Fighting here as brethren<br \/>\nsisters, brothers, each in arms<br \/>\nfight beside them, fight before them,<br \/>\nfor the fiercest love you bear.<\/p>\n<p>Raise your weapons in their fierceness,<br \/>\nraise your standards on the field.<br \/>\nBorn of man, endowed with glory,<br \/>\ninspire all whom you shall see.<\/p>\n<p>Witness to this battle-love<br \/>\nbears the promise of the realm:<br \/>\ndefeat of all who would see her humbled,<br \/>\npride is earned when worn so well.<\/p>\n<p>Bards forever write you love-songs<br \/>\ninspired by your battle mien,<br \/>\nfrom far-off land we feel the thunder<br \/>\nand hear the beating of your shields.<\/p>\n<p>Eastern Army, Eastern Kinfolk &#8211;<br \/>\nhear this voice which sends great love<br \/>\nfor your stomping, for your spear-dance<br \/>\nfor all the might which you display.<\/p>\n<p>Artist, seer, bowman, war-horse<br \/>\nsinger, speaker, King and Queen,<br \/>\neach uphold the Eastern banner<br \/>\neach brighter than the gold that gleams.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>(Written for the Northern Region War Camp, AS46)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Unto my liege lord and King, mighty Lucan, does your bard, Aneleda, send greetings and wishes for your continued strength and good-health.
